Raised in Botetourt, Virginia, Ciara Brennan is a campaign storyteller at James Madison University, where she leads fundraising communications and content strategy. She is also a proud CASA Volunteer through Blue Ridge CASA for Children.

Ciara earned her MA in Writing from the University of Galway, Ireland and was named a Fulbright U.S. Student semifinalist in 2021. Her work is published online and in print.

She lives with her husband in a 1940s bungalow in the Shenandoah Valley. She is working on her first book of essays.
